I had a really good weekend, with the exception of the fact that I once again managed not to get all of my German homework finished. Dangen!
On Friday night I joined a few friends for beers at Benchwarmers before carefully driving down the road to an undisclosed location where I watched Alec Ounsworth, former lead singer of Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, perform an acoustic set of music. I guess that there were about thirty people in attendance.
On both days this weekend I mounted the trainer for ninety minutes, and was able to watch four episodes of, you guessed it, The Amazing Race — Season 2.
Saturday was much fun, thanks again ITP-Reader Laura for arranging the Gwinnett Atlanta Gladiators outing. I was glad that logical minds prevailed and that we chose Frontera instead of tailgating. Unfortunately ITP-Reader Steve missed the change of venue and went to Tin Lizzy’s as originally discussed. Of course the Gladiators lost, as I think they have every time I’ve attended a game.
After getting in my ride on Sunday morning I cleaned up and went out and got a haircut. While doing this I had a crockpot of Slow Cooker Honey Mustard Chicken cooking for dinner. It took me a while to figure out my sides for this dinner, but I finally figured out that I’d cook up some mixed vegetables and a few boxes of Rice-a-Roni. Dinner was eaten with my boss, who I invited over to watch some football and help me drink some of the bizarro beers that I had in my refrigerator.
This morning I had an early start, a dentist appointment to get my temporary crown installed, at 7:30am. I go back in three weeks in order to get the permanent crown.
Need to catch up on office matters. Have a great day friends!
Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]
I went back and looked at Friday’s blog and only have myself to blame for not catching the final change of location. Hockey was fun- I warned Mark (?) that we were looking at a possible hat trick and he said he wouldn’t be throwing his N.E. Patriots hat. I told him I could throw it for him!! He didn’t seem interested.
Yesterday was spent clearing a little land, fighting with the tractor, and replacing a bolt on the chain saw. I had sharpened the chain and it was cutting great, right up until the chain came off, as I hadn’t retightened the bar nuts, and now one was lost in the leaves. Off to the Lowes for a replacement- and an hour wasted. F.
The trip to “town” also had me stop at the grocery for “something to cook” for dinner. 2 pieces of mahi mahi, and a pack of brats!! Loose instructions gives unpredictable results. I grilled the brats for dinner and they were tasty!

Man, my dentist loaded me up with numbing serum. It’s been ninety minutes since I left their office and I still can’t feel half of my face! It’s like I’ve eaten Tasty China all weekend.
I love uncontrolled drooling!
freaking busy. Megan gets back tomorrow – I can’t wait.
