Spotted Again

The most interesting bit of news that I have today is that I’ve once again encountered old hash marks. On my drive in this morning I saw the remnants of a kicked check, this time placed in the middle of tiny traffic circle at Flat Shoals and McPherson in East Atlanta. I’d look up recent hash starts if I thought it mattered, but I don’t, so I shan’t.

I Wonder What The German Word For Ill-Prepared Is
Ah, it’s actually two words, schlecht vorbereitet, that comprise the adjective. I was certain that the German language would have a compound noun fitting my needs. After all, they do have a noun for describing the excessive weight gained due to emotional overeating — Kummerspeck.

I continue to feel incredibly ill-prepared for this German class. I still feel as if I missed a class along the way since the jump from A1.4 to A2.1 seems so great.

Das Ist Alle
I really have nothing else today. Sorry.

Cheers,

So we sat around waiting for loggers yesterday… and waited.. and waited. They were still working the property at the end of our road, and may still be working it today, but we have faith they are coming.

After cutting the grass at home, I noticed the mower wasn’t doing such a hot job- I lifted the front up to look at the blades (I love having a front end loader for such jobs) and saw the blades were kaput. After a little research, I found Tractor Supply had them in stock, so after dinner at our favorite Mexican place, we purchased replacements, slapped those baby’s on and I’m heading for East Point after work.

My calendar shows Lisa Cheese’s birthday as today, so Happy Birthday Lisa!!

And for all you Dekalb County residents, have a glass of water today!

Huh, my calendar showed yesterday as her birthday. Maybe one if you FBers can find out for sure.

We will be drinking water like there’s no tomorrow again!

Monday night hash was was in your ‘hood last night.

Massages last night, man o man is my body all jacked up from a week of riding & sleeping on an air mattress. So much so that Sue said we need to schedule another one for both of us soon. And, I think I have tendonitis in my left elbow -what a pain, literally.

We did sample the corn last night – wow, it is good. I guess being picked less than a week ago really does make a difference. I now need to actually plan whatever we are going to do Sunday……… like invite some people, etc. I gave a few ears to my co-workers that covered my work last week – they also agreed it was quite tasty.

  4. Dangen! I could have hashed last night from the ‘hood? Duppel Dangen!

and = today is Lisa’s birthday, unless she’s lying on FB

  6. Holy shit all these years I have had the wrong date in my calendar for Lisa’s birthday. I feel so stupid…

  7. Steve says:

You were in the ballpark. Apparently, I have a note in my work calendar from who knows how long ago.

And walking back from lunch ran into Sharon Mize! Sweet!!

  8. Funny, I was thinking about her and Sam the other day, wondering where they are living now that they’ve moved out of the ‘hood.

  9. Steve says:

I thought they have a condo around here and are really working towards the mountain house. And I may be wrong about the condo…

  10. Barb says:

they have a condo in O4W that they are renting (right near downtown, the Beltline & the freeway). They are closing or just closed on a bigger place in Ellijay, that they will move into whenever they get around to it. The little 1 room cabin is up for sale, if anyone needs a great little get away.
