In a span of thirty minutes I went from being somewhat proud of myself for getting a walk in this morning.
Which I just found out was not nearly as long as I thought.
But what really angered me is what transpired shortly after my walk.
The office workout/locker room renovation was supposed to last four days. That was weeks ago. When I walked in this morning there were guys doing all sorts of work with ceiling tiles, leaving dust everywhere, and keeping the locker room door open. But I needed to take a shower.
And then I realized that I didn’t pack my belt.
And then I found out that it didn’t matter that I didn’t pack my belt because the pants, which are a size larger than I desire to wear, are so tight that I am unable to tuck in the shirt I packed.
I am not a happy man.
Check that, I am a pissed man.
May you have a better time than I will today.

So, is the locker room so small that it really matters if they leave the door open?
I went drinking in downtown last night, the people I was meeting were staying at the Embassy Suites & happy hour started at Ruth Chris, then moved to the lobby for the free one the hotel provides, then to a pizza place next to STATS called, Max’s, then back to Ruth Chris. I was driving, so was drinking just wine & very slowly….. it was fun to meet some people I’ve worked with over many years & never met in person.
We (yes, they all want to meet Allan & he was at the firehouse last night) are supposed to maybe meet the same crowd out again tonight, but they have a dinner meeting, & I just don’t know if I can gout at 10pm, I think I may be too old for that.
Yeah, it is. There is only one shower and thankfully they hung a curtain which can isolate it and the lockers from the toilet/sink/outside world. I was also ticked off because everything was covered in construction dust.
Further angering me today is that my mouth/teeth hurt for some unknown reason.
I tried to eat/drink at Tap last night. There was a twenty-five minute wait.
And I forgot my review of “The Fairytale Lives of Russian Girls.” The women were pretty, but let’s just say that had there been an intermission I would not have seen the second half of the play.
