This work crap is getting in the way of a really good blog.. don’t they know that?

I hope the project is going well and you’ll be a star at the CES.

This is my last day of work for the year. Debbie and I are thinking about fun things to do around these parts next week. Any stay-cation suggestions??

  2. Barb says:

I’m working the whole time 🙁

    Come visit the Garage Mahal………???
(but any dinners may not be too exciting, with my liquid/soup/soft food diet thanks to the periodontist)
Actually with Kevin & Katrina & the kids in town, who knows what we are up to in the evenings for the next 2 weeks.

  3. Steve says:

We can follow the star in the… north to the garage-mahal and brings gifts?? I likey!!

  4. Martha says:

God, I wish I was busy at work. Time is just dragging. If I hadn’t used so much vacation time two weeks ago, I wouldn’t be here.

Steve, I would love to check out the GA Aquarium, I haven’t been since they opened, I heard they have three baby otters, how cute is that? I also love going to the zoo (I could watch the gorillas all day).

I’m going to spend a day or two, just cleaning and purge stuff at the house. I got all the junk out of the attic (stuff that was there when I moved it) and put it to the curb today.

Christmas morning I’ll be heading up to Gainesville to run trails at Elachee. I can’t wait, I feel like I haven’t been out in a long time. I’m not sure what I’ll be doing christmas eve day…my original plan has been canceled.

  5. Barb says:

Martha – I like how you call it trails at Elachee, isn’t that the same trails as we mountain bikers call Chicopee Woods? And – there is a mexican restaurant just up the street that no one speaks much english!

Christmas Eve day I’m taking some folks (with kids) to go see Allan at the firehouse, a friend in town wants to take some pictures of 3 year old Max with the fire engine…… I don’t know what time yet, if you want to join us.

  6. Martha says:

I think they are the same, but the link I was sent said Elachee so that’s what I’m going with (I think Jerry and I ran a 10K up there when we first started dating). I don’t know anything about the Mexican restaurant.

BTW got your card Barb, very nice…maybe next year I’ll be on top of thing and get something out.

  7. Stacy Fox says:

Martha, I’m with you. I seriously have done about 10 minutes of work so far in the 7 hours I’ve been here. Going bonkers.

Barb, I was so tickled by your card that I had to explain it to others – love the whole “no need for a family letter, THIS is what we did this year.” Nice!

  8. Barb says:

Stacy – we just get so many of those letters, I couldn’t resist it. This is the first ever card that has anything christmasy in it. (did you like that I made Allan wear the ugly christmas sweater?)
Maybe next year we will go back to something burning…….

Everyone is invited to stop by & check it out the Garage Mahal in person – we do have a full beer fridge in there.
