I worked until almost 9pm last night, headed home, and nearly fell asleep immediately. I woke up several times during the night, so my sleep wasn’t that great. About two-thirds into my commute this morning I remembered that I forgot to pack something for work, so after lunch I’ll have to drive all the way home again in order to get it. Hell, I may just pack some clothes and sleep at the office tonight.
Ah deadlines, you complete me.

I do have a photo today. I snapped this while waiting to see my optometrist.
Perhaps I’ll use my absent-mindedness as an excuse to swing by Colony Square and pick up my new eyeglasses.

Okay I’ll help with the blog today!
It’s been a busy week at my place. The two new additons are settleing in nicely. AJ and Logan are just non-stop, I’m not sure AJ will know what to do when Logan leaves for Ohio. If anyone is looking to adopt a super sweet and well behaved pup, tell them about AJ…really, he’s just the best. Jerry doesn’t even want to pet him, he doesn’t want to get attached (but I can already see that he is).
I picked up the new car yesterday…I’m so excited!!! I got it for a bit under invoice, $2000 cash back and I got what I wanted for my trade…APR was a little higher than I wanted but at that point it wasn’t worth the argument (ended up being like $10 a month). Now if I can just figure out how everything works, the car is smarter than me…
I found out yesterday that you can download audiobooks on to the Kindle as well. Now Jerry can listen to “Born to Run” on his drive to Ciny and I get to keep my Ipod.
The car looks very nice Martha. I hope you get many years from it.
Paulie, I’ve said it before, but I wish I had your eye for photography. I think that pic is very cool.
The mizzus and I decided that we’re going to wait and see about the hockey game on Sunday- if we have the energy and interest, we might just make some calls and see who can join us.

Congrats Martha! It sounds like you got a great deal — car prices have definitely come down — we bought our new 2010 Mazda for only a bit more than I paid for my 2001 Mazda which didn’t make sense to me. When the weather gets warmer, we’ll invite ourselves over for a BBQ and car-gazing. I haven’t figured out all the buttons on ours either and we’ve had it a few months so good luck with that.
Paulie, is what you forgot at home something you can’t just replace by running to the store at lunch instead? I always gauge the trip time/gas with the cost of replacement.
whoo hoo Martha! can’t wait to see the new car. (& no, I don’t need a dog 😉
I forgot a set of keys. 🙁
