Whatever…
Beaver, Bunny, Barbed Wire, Oh My!
It was a warm night, not as bad as it could’ve been. I wandered around the Perimeter Mall area laying trail last night and along the way I saw fish and a beaver in a clear-running creek and a bunny rabbit in an open field. The one thing I didn’t see, but unfortunately one hasher found, was some barbed wire.
The trail I laid was about 60% of the Pinelake Hash I laid back in January. Oddly though things were very different. The Spring rains combined with the recent heat has enabled the kudzu, poison ivy, and blackberry bushes to grow with reckless abandon (though the blackberries look as if they could use more water) making it nearly impossible for me to find the trail that I laid earlier this year.
There were roughly twenty people in attendance last night. Most of those who ran the trail seemed pleased with my trail. I ended the trail at The Derby, mostly because it is walking distance to where I started, and luckily we were able to secure the outdoor patio to ourselves and avoided the annoyingly cloying smoke inside The Derby.

I have nothing today. Further I proved to myself that I’ll never be a photojournalist. This morning as I drove the street which leads to my office I saw a billow of black smoke. Apparently a car had caught on fire, and even though I had my camera in my car I decided I’d rather head in to work instead of going to take photos of the car fire.
Take Me Out To A Ball Game
While talking to a coworker this morning about baseball I came to the realization that it’s nearly the end of June and I’ve yet to go to any baseball game this year. Anyone up for a Atlanta Braves game? Gwinnett Braves game? Let’s do it!

A photo of a car-b-cue? You made a good choice.
I think I’m going on 3 years since the last Braves game I attended and would be willing to break the streak. When I was in Nashville a few weeks ago, the Sounds were playing the Albequerque Isotopes… I would have loved to have gone and picked up a cap. I’d be up for Gwinitia as well..

Jeez, I should have taken a photo. I’m sure that I could have gotten a better shot than this.
Looks like a camera phone to me… I guess since it was some AJC employees, it was permissible to have a crappy photo.
wow – someone must have really been behind on their car payments.
Damn, end of the month, end of the quarter, end of some companies fiscal year ahs the freight world hopping this week…….. I’m so ready for the 3 day weekend already.
No baseball for me, I don’t watch the game, so I see it as a cover charge to hang out with friends & pay extra for crappy beer.
Glad the trail was successful. I understand the kudzu, poison ivy, blackberries very well, the wheelhopper had a lot of it thru that kind of area – I HATE HIKE A BIKE……. if I wanted to hike, I wouldn’t bring my bike!
