I’m Leading A Boring Life

And it’s all my fault. I didn’t feel like going out last night and that has almost everything to do with the current state of crime in this city. I do not like this.

A Long Day Yesterday
You’d think the cancellation of my 7:30pm meeting of Atlanta Metblogs authors would have freed me up to have much fun. Instead it gave me the proverbial ‘green light’ to stay at work until 8pm and work on getting a development server up and running. Mind you the time spent in the office last night was not 100% work, but it was far from 100% fun also.

When I got home I was pooped. A warm couch and glowing television were my best friends for the rest of my waking hours.

I was going for an impressionist look
Fall, Reflected
It’s close, but not perfect.

My Three Days Of Meatless Eating Will Come To An End Tonight
Somehow “Meatless Monday” became “Meatless Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.” I’m not sure why, but it did. Tonight that will come to an end for tonight I meeting some friends and ITP-Readers for dinner at Fox Bros BBQ. Yum!

Hey Look, Glenn Vandy Beth Made The Paper
Okay, it’s just the AJC, but it’s still a daily published periodical.

You hashers out there may remember him as “Rogue Anus” however she has no hash name and goes by the name Vandy Beth.

Here’s the rest of the story.

Whatcha Got For Me?
Admittedly my blog has been lame of late. Give me something about which to do, ponder, opine.

Current Mood – coughy. Yeah, I know that’s not a word but it’s the best description of my mood
Current Music – listening to last week’s “TekZilla” podcast

Foot Mileage – 0 miles, Wheel Mileage – 0 miles
Pushups – 0, Situps – 0

The Unmeasurable

I wanted to do nothing last night, but a friend (Bruce Dickman, a sometimes wheelhopper named Cock Blocker) came over with a new mountain bike frame & parts for Allan to build him a new bike. So, we got a dinner guest & got to entertain for a few hours. It was fine, we almost always make too much food, and it was good to see him.

Good article about Vandy Beth, I really hope she gets her job back.

6:30 tonight at Fox Bros.? Who’s all coming???
Dean (aka Jackass) might join us he told me on FB, if they don’t keep him at Grady……. his saga of health care at Grady makes me so extremely happy I have health insurance, and didn’t get hit by a taxi.

And that you wear a helmet when riding.

  3. Steve says:

I was hoping for a few more folks… maybe the “Bags” would like to come in-town for some good ‘cue? Laura? Betsy? Bill? C’mon… all the kids are doing it!

  4. Was it because I said that I was going to eat like a little piggy? Seriously folks, I’ve got some damn good table manners.

  5. Barb says:

I think (if I remember a comment on FB) Bob is in Orlando, & Martha has to get ready to go to FDR camping tomorrow, but she might fit us in…. you never know.
After that – not sure about anyone else.

Sal & I will be there – you need more people than that? I’m hurt, and I’m sure she’s hurt too 😉

  6. Martha says:

What time are you meeting? I’ve got to get my ass in gear, getting ready for tomorrow but we might be able to swing by and join ya’all for a drink…

  7. The “plan” is to meet around 6:30pm.

I’ll need to get my camping gear in order too, but for me that won’t be too difficult.

  8. Steve says:

And Paulie.. the clock on the server is wrong. Doh!!

  9. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

Damn you and your IT eyes! :^)

  10. Martha says:

I’ve got to finish getting the food together, I have two pork butts to cook tonight as well as figure out what I’m bringing and then making for dinner tomorrow night.

I doubt I’ll get a run in tonight either…where does the time go?

  11. Steve says:

I don’t think it’s my IT eyes, I just think it’s the AROC in me 🙂

Clocks that are running should be close to right.

  12. Time fixed. Thanks Steve.

  13. Steve says:

Sometimes, it pays to be a geek.

  14. Debbie says:

My better half will be the only representative from JEFDSDR at Fox Bros tonight. All work and no play is making me a dull girl, but it pays the bills!! Y’all don’t have too much fun without me and make sure Steve comes home with a doggy bag!!

  15. Paulie [eatl/ga] says:

    Boo! Hiss!

  16. bob says:

Barb is correct, I’m in Orlando. Day 2 of a 3 day conference. I wish I was having Fox Bros tonight. Another dinner with the nerd team talking shop all night.
