My life is out of control. Today I will make efforts to change that.
When Choosy Drinkers Choose
Last night I had three entertainment options. Andy Hull (of Manchester Orchestra) performed a concert at the Drunken Unicorn. The Atlanta Bloggers resurrected their monthly meetings, this time at Fox Bros BBQ (a place I’d like to try some day). One of my Flickr friends had a birthday get-together at Cantina La Casita. Which did I choose? The one closest to home of course.
My dinner at La Casita consisted of two Negra Modelos, some chips, and two tacos. Overall I enjoyed the night out but I hung around longer than I should have. It was a little difficult to wake up this morning.
Google Is Letting Me Down
When I use “Drunken Unicorn Atlanta” in a Google search I’d like to have their website returned to me. Unfortunately it does not. This behavior seems to happen more often. Also, in addition to “Sponsored links” it seems that Google puts a little more weight on YouTube results (gee, I wonder if this has to do with Google owning YouTube).

More indication that this region needs rain.
Do you think that the fish feel cramped due to the lack of water?
Light, Camera, Action!
I am finally going to make a lighting purchase today. I will be buying a Alien Bees strobe with a soft box. Hopefully this will get me through the dark winter months which are headed our way.
No George’s For Paulie
In part it has something to do with last week. In part it has something to do with events which have transpired in my life this week. Regardless, I will be skipping George’s this evening.
Run hard; drink responsibly; drive safely my friends.
And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – scared, but I choose not to explain
Current Music – Sirius Satellite Radio, Channel 26 playing The Jesus And Mary Chain — “Blues From A Gun”
Website Of The Day – Ever try to figure out how to meet that OTP person “half-way”> Use Happy Median.
Exercise (b)Log – nothing
Monthly Mileage – 9 miles
Mode Of Transportation To Work – My car
October Goal
1) Find happiness
Cheers,
Paulie [eatl/ga]
I think it was Maigh’s site I was lurking on yesterday (hers or Mingaling’s?) in which Fox Bros. BBQ was mentioned. I linked over to their website menu immediately and drooled and drooled and drooled. Please count me in when you decide to go?
From the pictures I’ve seen both were present at Fox Bros BBQ last night.
I was going to suggest it for last Friday night but I figured we couldn’t miss with the Yacht Club’s brisket. I will certainly keep you in mind for a Fox Bros BBQ trip.
Count Steve and I in on the Fox Bros trip, too! It’s on our list of places to get to soon.
Oooh! With so many people interested, should we maybe actually plan a Fox Bros. trip?
Ladies and Gentlemen start your calendaring programs!
Steve, I assume this trip should be post-Highland Games?
I would invite you to the ‘party’ tonight at my place but I know you don’t want to walk into another room full of women and get booed!!
Yeah, my ego can no longer take it… Have a fun evening.
Steve is computer-less and busy doing the Manuel Labor of putting on the Highland Games. He’ll be back in action and ready to eat Q after Sunday. mmmm, Q.
