I am becoming a master at ditching out of parties early. Last night was a fun time celebrating my friend Andy’s 40th at Manuel’s Tavern but at some point my mood went completely south and I headed for the door. I am sure that I wasn’t missed as there were many people there. Thanks to Stacey for the invite it was a really nice party.

Last Friday I joked about Canadians having poor calendar skills. This morning I received a confirmation email for an order from Amazon.com that I placed on Sunday
Shipped via UPS Second Day (estimated arrival date: 11-December-2006).
I’m sorry, today is November 28th and you are telling me that an order shipped yesterday using UPS‘ Second Day Shipping will arrive on December 11th? Something seems amiss here.

Like every other morning I awoke to the sound of my alarm clock at 5:00am. Most mornings I shut off Alarm 1 and wait for Alarm 2 to sound at 5:30am. This morning was different however…
From 5:00am-6:00am WRAS aka “Album 88” played uninterrupted hardcore/punk, including three Husker Du songs in a row. Fuck. YEAH!

Nothing but crap comes out today. Do musicians know that Christmas is but scant weeks away?
Since there is nothing worth buying I am going to suggest that you go and scour the cut-out bins for that piece of shit CD that K-Fed dumped earlier this year and wrap it up for a White Elephant Christmas party. Sit back and watch the comedy unfold as that gets dumped on someone else.

Amazon has no idea when the package will actually arrive. I suspect the make the date ridiculously late as a scam to get you to join Amazon Prime, or whatever silly marketing gimmick they’ve come up with while I haven’t been paying attention.
I am already an Amazon Prime member. Most times the price with free shipping is equivalent to the price elsewhere plus their free shipping, but this way I go and buy whatever price item I want and not worry about the shipping cost. Case and point, this order is for a $6 wall clock. Why Amazon for this? Because the one in my house no longer keeps accurate time and I *never* remember this fact on the rare occasion I am out shopping.
