Today I just decided that I needed a break from it all.

I Might Be Leaving My Heart In San Francisco
While I am slowly burning up the remaining paid vacation days that I have for this year I am busily deciding how to spend next year’s. San Francisco keeps popping up much the same way that Chicago did earlier this year. I am contemplating a late-February, early-March trip to coincide with the week-long music festival known as Noise Pop. If anyone has tips for trips to San Francisco I’d like to hear them.

Does anyone else think that Jonathon sounds like Alan Alda? Close your eyes next week and listen.
So the roller girl got sent flying off the island. I think that all of the episodes between now and merger time will be fairly uneventful — even with CBS’s teaser for next week.

I’ll Be Mountain Goating Tonight
Tonight The Mountain Goats are playing The EARL. Astute readers will remember that The Mountain Goats played at the Pitchfork Music Festival I attended in Chicago this past July. It must have been the heat because I don’t remember a whole lot about their set that day. Heat shouldn’t be an issue tonight however.

I was actually a little surprised last night–sounded like they were really setting up to give Johnathan the boot. Flicka’s comment before they left for tribal, thanking eveyone for being honest, was a little bizarre. Quite a comeback on the blue tribe in that Immunity challenge! They better be thanking their lucky stars for Nate!

Yeah I thought Flicka was annoying but I didn’t think she would get the boot. The comeback was huge and I still don’t understand how the red team could be so bad at puzzle assembly.

Johnathan’s Hawk-eye voice drives me crazy. I’m not super fond or rooting against him–just his voice. I can’t really listen to him when all I’m thinking about is Charles Emmerson Winchester the III and moonshine. Bummer Flicka left. She was entertaining.
