When the highlight of my day is getting a twelve-pack of Top Ramen for $1 at Dollar Tree, you know I am having a boring day. Furthermore, this lifestyle change of rarely drinking and eating out is really going to be hard to handle for a while. I guess it’s no different than kicking other addictions.
Weather I Like It Or Not
I left work at a reasonable hour with all intentions of going out to take photographs. The stop at the Dollar Tree was to buy a few items for the $10 macro-photography box I am going to construct, and the plan was to go from there to Mason Mill Park to shoot pictures of the ruins mentioned by Tony (aka Niplets) last week.
That plan was foiled when I emerged from Dollar Tree to see dark grey skies. So I headed home to watch some tv and clean instead (Woo Hoo).

This SP Reminds Me A Lot Of Another SP
I am really digging the music of Silversun Pickups (you know, the band I saw at the Drunken Unicorn last week). They are getting airplay and notoriety all over the internets.
However, I am wondering if I like their sound because it reminds my of another SP from year’s past, the Smashing Pumpkins. I am not trying to discredit the sound created by Silversun Pickups, and their live show was one thousand times better than the one I saw Smashing Pumpkins do in 1994(?) but it really does bug me a bit. Btw- I am not the only one to notice the similiarity. Google “Silversun Pickups Smashing Pumpkins” to read more.
George’s Tonight? Perhaps
Not being one to tempt Mother Nature and stand around getting all electricuted and shit (you people know who you are), my appearance at George’s tonight is highly contingent on the weather. Since I am not planning on drinking beer tonight (yeah, you read that right), there is no sense going out and getting killed in the name of sobriety.

I don’t think I have anything against Ramen, but the smell just gets into everything! It’s the scent that comes to mind when I think of the dorm rooms back in college…eww.
