A Night At The Flopera

Something Ventured, Nothing Gained
Last night’s meetup with Maigh and Dave was fun, but ultimately unproductive for me. In the few hours I spent pounding the keys of my iBook I learned that WordPress, and the theme that I have selected for this blog could frustrate the hell out of me.

Can you see the changes I made? No? That’s because after all my attempts I backed out almost all of my changes. Looks like I still have a lot of work ahead of me.

Keeping My Eye On Target
One of the many things I dislike about working in the Perimeter Mall area is the difficulties of getting to life’s necessities such as gas stations and grocery stores.

I was running a tad late this morning I decided to try my luck grocery shopping at the Super Target across the road. To my surprise, most of the things that I would be shopping for while spending time in the office were present. Since I rarely darken the halls of many grocery stores these days unless I am on a beer run I can’t compare the prices of Target’s food products to that of a Kroger or Publix. I figure that I probably paid a little more, but it’s well worth it for having a place to buy produce so near.

Now if they had only built a gas station in that shopping center…

La Casita Is Once Again Pouring
The signs plastered on light poles in East Atlanta claim “Margaritas are Back at La Casita”. My incredible powers of deduction tell me that La Casita Cantina has regained their liquor license. I’m glad to see that the liquor license snafu didn’t cripple their business.

Local Tunes For Local Ears
Tonight you will find me at The Earl for the Manchester Orchestra show. If you like local music, and want to support Fat Asian Baby at her new gig working for Performer Magazine then come on down to my hood for some tunes. Just remember to get a good Power Nap in before you do, as shows at The Earl tend to run late. And can I suggest a basket of boiled peanuts and Miller High Life for dinner? The do a body good, you know…

And now for some ideas stolen from LiveJournal…
Current Mood – frustrated
Current Music – Sirius Satellite Radio, Channel 26 playing Devo — “Uncontrollable Urge”
Website Of The Day – Did you know that the “World’s Busiest Airport” Atlanta’s own Hartsfield-Jackson Airport has a website? I didn’t until yesterday.

If you ever want a quick glance of the sites I’ve picked for my Websites Of The Day, you can check them out on del.icio.us, my user name is InsideThePerimeter (go figure), and they are all tagged as “blogged.”

Exercise (b)Log – nothing

Cheers!
